Work Update: Under Construction

Exciting news over here at Platt Dana Architects! My first job is under construction!  I started working on three new jobs at about the same time when I started here last June and one of them started demolition last week:

At my old job it took five years for one project and here I will have one complete in less than year.  Another project will be starting construction in March and a third not far behind, everything happens much faster and most of the agency stuff is much less complicated and simpler.  This project is in a townhouse in the West Village.  The client already owned the fourth floor apartment and recently bought the third floor, so we are mostly updating the third floor into bedrooms and bathrooms.  On the fourth floor we are renovating the kitchen and adding a skylight to dining room, so it’s not a huge project but it’s fun to watch the progress go so fast.  I’ll make sure to post some pictures when it is all completed.
