Sunday Afternoon Coffee [Twenty-six]

If we were having coffee this afternoon, we would talk about the two days of skiing last weekend. Cross country again on Saturday and downhill on Sunday before the Super Bowl. Inches of fresh snow, Bridger was pretty quiet on Sunday since everyone was up there Saturday and the upcoming game. It was great. I hope weekends like that keep happening.

And speaking of the Super Bowl, what was that? It was so terrible. Bleh. Even the commercials sucked. At least we got to see Beckham running around, not sure if that will ever get old. And Budweiser did do a great job with the puppy. But next year, could both teams bring something to the table?

If we were having coffee this afternoon, I would tell you I can’t wait to get the rest of my stuff from my parents and Princess Chunk this week. I can’t remember what else I packed and I am trying to be good and not buy stuff for my apartment. BUT I really want a neon sign. Maybe above the bed? I think I am going to be getting curtains like this. The question is, bedroom or living room? And I also really want a sheepskin rug. What is up with that? But I really want one

If we were having coffee this afternoon, we would discuss which friends we are based on MVJ’s excellent list. I can think of someone or two for each option.

If we were having coffee this afternoon, I would make you check out my hair update. When I was in Austin, my cousin Rachael, cut and colored it. The orange streaks that she added faded pretty fast as expected. Last week she sent me some color and Robin helped me put it in. It’s much bolder than the original orange, but I love it, love it love it.

ORANGE!

We would also talk about Robin’s new short hair cut. It looks awesome. Plus, it’s pretty fun to mess up on a Friday night and see how long she can go before fixing it: not long.

If we were having coffee this afternoon, we would talk about the movies we have watched lately. We went to The Wolf of Wall Street and it was really good. Jonah Hill was great. It was a little hard to believe Leo as a 26 year old. And for all the times I was warned that it was like a porn, it wasn’t nearly as bad as everyone kept saying. I also watched Flight finally. It was not what I was expecting at all and it was really good. Check it out.

If we were having coffee this afternoon I would tell you how sad I am to be missing the upcoming Park Slope Book Sale next weekend. I loved that weekend and all the books. I wish there was something like that around here.

LOVE the neon sign idea! But what would yours say?! I feel it’s like getting a tattoo! I would never be able to decide!

(Of course, if it is over the bed, I would HOPE it would be something vaguely dirty but tastefully clever. I will start brainstorming!)
